District 6 Recordings

District 6 produces recordings to support panel transitions, carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous through conference approved literature, and promote General Service.
To be published on the district6aa.org website or our @district6 YouTube channel, recordings meet the following critera:
Participant Consent: Anyone whose voice is heard must agree to the recording being posted. In lieu of a standard waiver form, District 6 usually collects an email specifying consent and records the presenter giving consent at the beginning of each recording. This verbal consent is worked into the script and is generally not included in the published version of the recording. Copies of the email and recorded verbal consent are provided to the current practice committee, the archives committee, and the technology committee prior to posting.
Anonymity Review: No faces will be shown in videos and audio will be scrubbed for anonymity prior to posting. The committee officer who originated the recording will review it for anonymity before it is posted.
Disclaimer: Unless the content of the presentation is produced by District 6 or one of its committees, there will be a non-affiliation disclaimer
Right of Appeal: When a recording is posted, any District 6 member with a concern may ask for a further review regarding anonymity or the need for a disclaimer. The appeal should include specific details such as the time frame and content in question. The request should be sent to the originating officer or committee first, then the current practices committee, or ultimately appeal to the body.
Anyone whose voice is heard on a recording may rescind their consent.
Terms of Use: All audio/video recordings on the distrct6aa.org website or our @district6 YouTube channel are for personal use only. Reproduction, distribution and commercial use are not permitted.
See our Terms of Use page for more details.
